Line Cook
The Line Cook completes the preparation of all food items in a timely manner and assures that all foods meet required serving temperatures. Utilizes creativity in garnishing and developing new recipes. Complies with stringent health, sanitation, safety HACCP and food handling standards. Adheres to quality and cost containment standards. Reports to the Head Chef and Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prep and prepare meals in accordance with menus, ensuring a timely execution.
- Maintain a clean work station, kitchen environment and perform regular cleaning of kitchen equipment.
- Exhibit great organizational skills.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times. Learn, and follow company policies, kitchen procedures and sanitary guidelines.
- Maintain food temperature, freezer and refrigerator logs.
- Commitment to quality service, and the knowledge food and beverage.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with co-workers and supervisors. This would include, but not limited to such actions: conflict resolution in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff and guests; respect of others’ property and person and appropriate communication to and about co-workers and supervisors.
- Must be able to work as a team member, take direction and be trustworthy
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year restaurant experience OR degree in Culinary Arts.
- Ability to follow recipes, execute orders, and thrive in a fast paced kitchen.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to go up and down stairs.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Barista / Cashiers
Wilson’s Bakery and Café is need of Barista/Cashiers
High Watch Recovery Center was established in 1939 as the world’s first 12-Step treatment center. Since then, our Connecticut addiction treatment center has led thousands of individuals from the grip of alcohol and drug addiction to the freedom of recovery.
Nestled in 200 wooded acres in the lush Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, High Watch Recovery Center is a residential medical facility that provides state-of-the-art treatment for Substance Abuse Disorders and co-occurring Psychiatric Disorders.
We are currently launching Wilson’s Bakery and Café, located in down town Kent. The Café will be our introduction to the community and place we can share our experience and rich history.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, coffees, and specialty beverages
- Maintaining, cleaning, and sanitizing work areas, and front of house in accordance with health codes
- Excellent customer service including describing menu items, suggesting products and taking orders
- Responsible for handling cash and utilizing POS
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times.
- Must be able to work as a team member, take direction and be trustworthy

Baker
The Baker prepares food according to selected menus, approved recipes and production sheets, with knowledge of quantity cooking. Completes the preparation of all food items in a timely manner.
Complies with stringent health, sanitation, safety HACCP and food handling standards. Adheres to quality and cost containment standards. Reports to the Head Chef and Manager of Food Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The ability to bake a variety of rolls, breads, pastries, pies, cakes, cookies and desserts -start to finish.
- Must possess a good knowledge of quantity preparation and the ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean work station, kitchen environment and perform regular cleaning of kitchen equipment.
- Exhibit great organizational skills.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times. Learn, and follow company policies, kitchen procedures and sanitary guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Culinary Certification of Accreditation required OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a baker.
- Demonstrated ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment, and quantity production.
- Ability to follow recipes in a cost effective manner.
- Serve Safe certified
- Must have good communication skills and basic math skills.
- Must be free of problematic substance abuse for at least one year immediately preceding employment.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to go up and down stairs.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
